Flatbed
Freight
For freight that doesn't fit in a box — oversized, heavy, and irregular cargo moved safely with the right equipment and expertise.
What is Flatbed Freight?
Flatbed shipping uses open-deck trailers — no sides, no roof — to carry freight that can't be loaded through standard trailer doors or that exceeds dimensional limits. It's the go-to solution for construction materials, heavy machinery, steel coils, lumber, oversized equipment, and palletized freight too large for a dry van.
Flatbed Equipment Types
- Standard flatbed — 48' or 53', up to 48,000 lbs, 8'6" wide
- Step deck / drop deck — for taller freight requiring lower deck height
- Double drop / lowboy — for extra-tall or extra-heavy equipment
- RGN (Removable Gooseneck) — for the heaviest, tallest loads
- Stretch flatbed — for loads exceeding standard trailer length
Industries We Serve with Flatbed
Construction, manufacturing, energy and utilities, oil and gas, steel and metals, agriculture, and any industry moving freight that won't load conventionally. If it's irregular, oversized, or overweight, flatbed is likely the answer.
Permits & Overdimensional Loads
Loads exceeding standard legal dimensions require permits, route surveys, and sometimes escort vehicles. We coordinate all of this — permits, pilot cars, and compliance — so your freight moves legally and safely without you managing the paperwork maze.
